in the form of coffee...

Don't we all love a Starbucks card? I do. I mean, I don't even really like coffee very much unless it is all latte-d up with chocolate and whipped cream, but I do enjoy their apple cider, hot chocolate and their peppermint mocha frappacinos. And since they added those breakfast sandwiches, I swing by the drive thru one near my job sometimes.

This past week was Teacher Appreciation Week at my school, and I received TEN Starbucks cards, from various student. Like the good wife I am, I did share with my coffee drinking husband, but I kept some for me as well. Admittedly, I stacked them up and took a picture of them first, then I shared.

I'll be caffed up this week. Ignore the slightly hyper girl who fell in love with the iPad today.

have one of their new dark cherry mochas for me-or peppermint! I am not a big coffee drinker either, but unfortunately they seem to have something for everyone!
so glad parents are getting something teachers like for once and not a boatload of scented lotion. Enough already! lol

I'm so jealous!!! I got a couple of SB cards last year as an end of the year gift, but the kids haven't caught on this year! What a great way to show their appreciation for you!!!

Ah, a fellow Starbucks affecionado! That is quite a pile of Starbuck's cards!! My students know that Starbucks is my favorite place, so usually they get me cards for Christmas or the end of the year. Their generosity allows my husband and I to enjoy free coffee for a couple months.

JB, I just casually insert Starbucks on some of my multiple choice tests and the students seem to get the picture. :)

And by the way, the baristas caught on right away that I was ordering decaf drinks in the morning. Really, I'm not an addict...yet.

I am afraid I have a deep-seated and bitter resentment of their caramel apple disaster, on the basis that it is NOT cider (I had to speak to one of their employees about this recently. I returned to him a full, paid-for beverage, without asking for a refund, but with instructions that he should tell the next customer who asked whether it were REALLY apple cider that it is NOT. This incident followed one a moment earlier in which he had given me...a steamed apple juice. Apparently this was his response to "is it really apple cider? You know, actual cider?" I am interested to know whether any human on the planet has ever consumed a steamed appled juice on purpose). Possibly I need to pick my battles.

I love coffee gift cards, too, though :).
