unplugged

My birthday is coming up in November and I was thinking that what I would like is an overnight stay at a hotel with my honey. Yes. Doesn't that sound wonderful? To get away from your life, your dirty dishes, the barking dogs, the laundry, etc.

Don't you just want to unplug?

If you could get away from your daily grind for the weekend, where would you go/do?

NYC! They have awesome Christmas window displays at all the department stores in November. They are fun to look at and then go see a show!

I hope you get to do something fun!

I'd go up north so I could go for a good long canoe ride. Yes, I am Canadian! ;)

I ditto NYC. I'd love to have a little getaway there, especially during the Christmas season. It's been a long time since Craig and I have spent time away together, and it doesn't look like that will be happening any time soon, either.

I hope you and Charlie can do something fun together.

Some cozy remote cabin in the middle of nowhere with nobody around.

I want a cabin in the middle of the mountains and forests with electricity (but no tv or internet, a king size bed, a king size fireplace and a giant bathtub. I'd take a stack of books and a few bottles of yummy drinks and my journal and hibernate.

GREAT question! Right now I'd go anywhere with fall colors and cool nights. I miss my fireplace and fall cooking. It's still 97 degrees here! Not that I'm complaining. At least it's not snowing!

Anywhere that is not my house and has room service or a food that I don't have to cook or clean up after :) I have heard that the O'Henry is amazing!
